Dick Stanton
Dick Stanton was an employment lawyer for over 30
years and is now a full-time arbitrator and mediator.
During his career as a practicing attorney, he appeared
regularly in administrative proceedings, state and federal
courts, representing plaintiffs, defendants, employers and
unions. In addition, he has participated in countless
arbitrations and mediations as an advocate.
During his career as an employment lawyer, Dick has encouraged settlement as the best resolution for the client. As a practical matter, the vast majority of cases do settle, it is only a question of when and on what terms. However, he also recognizes that in some situations in labor relations, parties need a decision and; therefore, mediation is not appropriate. Having been a practicing employment lawyer for many years, Dick recognizes the difference and acts accordingly.
